Formatting Guidelines

 

Before submitting a manuscript to us for any kind of editing, proofreading, or evaluating, please do your best to format it according to the guidelines below. Doing so will not only make our job easier, but will also keep your project fee low. We are happy to help you format your manuscript—however, if you leave us to do most of the formatting, we may have to charge for the additional labor.

 

Manuscript

  • left aligned with one-inch margins

  • 12-pt. black Times New Roman font

  • double-spaced lines; no extra line between paragraphs

  • half-inch indent for first line of every paragraph

  • page or section break between chapters/sections

  • single spaces between sentences (press enter only ONCE after any end punctuation)

 

File Name

  • FirstName LastName_Manuscript Title.doc (or .docx or .rtf—we do not accept PDFs)

  • Example: Kelsey Down_My Awesome Manuscript.doc
